# Download quick start project code

<!-- shell@1,2 -->

The example implementation is composed of two parts:

### Backend

- Under `/node`, you will find server-side Javascript code that will retrieve the token. You will need to download and run Node.js to run the code.

### Frontend

Under `/android-webview`, you will find example code in Android that already has the Wink Javascript SDK embedded already.

# Go to /node directory of quick start

<!-- shell@4,5 -->

Under `/node`, you will find server-side Javascript code that will retrieve the token. You will need to download and run [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/en/) to run the code.

# Create a new file with called ".env"

<!-- shell@7,8 -->

This file is used to configure the required parameters for node server startup.

# Configure .env file

<!-- shell@10-20 -->

Update your `.env` file with important configuration information. You can use the `.env.example` file, included in the Quickstart repository, as a reference.

## Parameters

- `APP_PORT`: The port you visit when starting up the Wink Widget quick start
- `API_KEY`, `API_SECRET`: You can get these values from [portal.getsmileapi.com](https://portal.getsmileapi.com)
- `OPEN_API_HOST`: Host for the Smile Api - Sandbox vs Production Mode
- `LINK_API_HOST`: Host for Smile API Wink Widget

# Run yarn and install

<!-- shell@22-24 -->

In Mac or Linux, you will need to open up the Terminal. If you are using Windows, you can go to the command line. Make sure you are still in the `/node` directory of the quick start files you just downloaded onto your machine.

# Start the server

<!-- shell@26,27 -->

Start up the node server.

You may need to install dotenv in your environment if you run into issues running the Node server. To install dotenv, simply run the following:

`npm install dotenv`

# Import the /android-webview folder in your favorite IDE

<!-- shell@29 -->

Example: Android Studio

# Load all dependencies

<!-- shell@31 -->

# Start up the App

<!-- shell@33 -->
